| The following links will take you to
initial web-sites that I am reviewing in the first stage of research to
establish criteria for constructive vs. destructive forms of mandated
therapy. If treatment is mandated by the force of law and
successful completion is required as a condition to avoid incarceration
we need to be sure that the treatment will help to produce sober and
responsible human beings and induce further psychological harm in an
effort to help. To assure that treatment is effective and
beneficial we must be willing to explore all sides of the issue as we
answer two vital questions: (1) What forms of treatment are
helpful to substance abusers? and (2) What forms of treatment are
harmful and ineffective? |
